About Us

Business Manager started back in 2013 as an internal backend project, by Dewald Bodenstein, for managing Client information and Quotations, Year End Financials with Invoices, Receipts and Expenses, and Project management with Tasks and Time-sheets.

In 2015, after receiving interest from colleagues, a new interface was built and launched to the public in an open beta. With this launch our first license options were also introduced. At this point it got the name "Business Manager" and received the knight chess piece as icon. Unfortunately this version did not receive much updates except for bug fixes and other basic maintenance.

Years later, in 2022, work was finally begun on a much needed new interface and an added mobile App. Our new mobile app features all of the same functionality as the web platform. The project has been moved in under Appture (Pty) Ltd with Dewald still as lead developer.
